Every button you own can run the show.
A native Stream Deck plugin, a Bitfocus Companion module, rebindable hotkeys and a local HTTP API all fire the same commands the app does, and a key lights up with what is on air.
Press the keys below: each one fires its command at the sample race beside it.
Control surfaces, hotkeys, sequences and the HTTP API come with every plan. A key for a Pro or League feature shows a padlock until your plan includes it.

Tap a driver in the tower, or a preset, to take the cameras yourself.
Sample data: the key faces and command ids follow the EDR Broadcast plugin; the monitor is the sample race.
Needs Pro. On a plan without it the key shows a padlock and the app answers 403.

A Stream Deck that knows what is on air.
The native plugin reads the app’s own command list, so a key can fire anything Settings ▸ Hotkeys can bind, and it shows the live state as it changes.
- KeysOverlay on and off, blackout, grid and race info takeovers, sequences, cameras by position, car number, preset or angle, replay and transport, media and ad breaks, the Auto-Director, status, and any other command.
- DialsA Stream Deck + adds replay scrub and replay speed on its dials.
- SetupInstall the EDR Broadcast plugin in the Stream Deck app, version 7.1 or later on Windows 10 or later. Host and port are set once, in any key.
- Four languagesKey labels follow the Stream Deck app’s language, or the Key language setting: English, German, Spanish or Portuguese (Brazil).
What a key tells you
- A coloured stripe: on, or on air.
- Dim: off.
- A red dot: EDR Broadcast cannot be reached.
- An orange dot: the command needs the control window open.
- A padlock: your plan does not include it.
Bitfocus Companion, on any surface it drives.
Add an EDR Broadcast connection in Companion and it polls the app’s command list once a second, so every button knows whether its overlay is on air and whether your plan includes it.
Overlay toggles, replay jogs, sequences and the Auto-Director arm need the control window open. Camera and media commands work with it closed, and on a Data Link second PC.
- ActionsFire any command, an overlay on or off, a camera by car number or by race position, and refresh the command list.
- FeedbacksLight a button when a command is on, an overlay is on air, EDR Broadcast is connected or a command is licensed.
- PresetsOne button per overlay, plus blackout and takeovers, camera positions and presets, the replay transport, the Auto-Director, media and status.
A local HTTP API for everything else.
Touch Portal, a script or curl can call the same commands. Every director action and the sponsor bumpers are plain HTTP requests to the app on this PC; one route lists every command and another fires it.
A fire answers 403 when your plan does not include the command, and 409 when it needs the control window and that is closed.
The server listens on this PC only, and blocks requests from other websites while letting your button gear and OBS through. To drive it from another PC, start the app with EDR_BIND=0.0.0.0, which also turns that website check off.

Hotkeys, even when iRacing has focus.
The defaults cover the camera and the replay. Every key can be rebound in Settings ▸ Hotkeys, along with overlays, sequences and media.
Global keys fire while iRacing or OBS has focus. Shortcuts are ignored while you type in a text field.

Sequences: six buttons become one.
A sequence shows, hides and moves a set of overlays in one press, so a green-flag look or a podium reveal is one key. Build them in Settings ▸ Automations, and fire them by hand, from a key or on their own.

- SequencesArrange the overlays the way you want, save it as a step. Each overlay can wipe or fade instead of cutting.

- Camera triggersFire a sequence when you cut to a named camera, such as the battle card on the chase cam.
- Grid walkHold one camera and step it from P1 down the grid on a timer, with a sequence as it starts.
Questions.
Want the camera to run itself? See the Auto-Director. Want to know what a key can put on air? See the overlay catalogue.
Which plan do I need?
None: the Stream Deck plugin, the Companion module, hotkeys, sequences, the grid walk and the HTTP API work on every plan. Each command keeps its own plan, so a key for a Pro feature shows a padlock on Free.
Why does a key show an orange dot?
That command needs the control window open: overlay toggles, replay jogs, sequences and the Auto-Director arm. Camera and media commands work with it closed.
Can the Stream Deck sit on another PC?
Yes. Start EDR Broadcast on the broadcast PC with EDR_BIND=0.0.0.0 and enter that PC’s address as the host in the plugin or in Companion.
Can a web page fire these commands?
No. The server listens on this PC only and blocks requests that come from another website, while letting through your button gear, your OBS browser sources and the app’s own windows.
What are quick cues?
A strip of one-click cues in the app’s title bar, part of Pro.
Run your own show.
EDR Broadcast is free to start on Windows, with every control surface included. Try every Pro feature for 14 days from inside the app: no card, no automatic charge.
